Legacy Society

Citizens United Legacy Society honors those who have remembered Citizens United in their estate plans. Belonging to the Citizens United Legacy Society gives donors another way to support Citizens United without any immediate out of pocket cost.

In addition to being able to help Citizens United achieve its mission, Citizens United Legacy Society member benefits include:

  • A lifetime membership in the Citizens United Legacy Society
  • Your name on the Legacy Society wall in the Citizens United Productions screening room
  • A lifetime subscription to Citizens United at a Glance: Citizens United’s newsletter
  • Invitations to all Citizens United film premieres
  • Your legacy left with a group that fights for the principles you care about and made this country great
  • Possible tax savings (Eg. Trusts, Life Insurance Gift) and/or a personal lifetime income stream from an asset (Eg. charitable remainder trust, charitable gift annuity)
  • Possible ways to include Citizens United in your estate plans include:

  • Bequests by will or revocable trust: A sample of the language you could use: "I give, devise, and bequeath to Citizens United, tax identification number 91-1433368, 1006 Pennsylvania Ave, SE, Washington, DC 20003 (nature of gift, whether percentage amount, specific item, or remainder of estate) to be used for educational purposes."

You can also ask to speak to Brendan McIntyre, our Director of Development. He was trained in planned giving at Liberty University School of Law. He cannot represent you, but he can help you learn about the different ways you can structure your estate to fight for conservative principles with Citizens United.
